Virtual Technologies, Ltd. Announces Implementation of NASA Developed Maximum Power Point Tracking Technology.
Spokane, WA - February 26, 2002
Virtual Technologies, Ltd. announces development and implementation of NASA's Maximum Power Point Tracking technology.
Virtual Technologies, Ltd. has entered into discussion with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), to license and develop Maximum Power Point Tracking technology originally developed for the space program. Virtual Technologies, Ltd. will incorporate this new high efficiency method of obtaining power from solar panels into a new product line of solar charge controllers, and solar pump controllers.
With technology to be licensed from NASA, Virtual Technologies' Maximum Power Point Tracking devices will employ software controlled DC to DC converters and other proprietary electronics. These converters will optimize the match between any solar array (PV panels or PV cells) and a battery bank, DC pump, or any DC motor. This will allow the a maximum amount of usable current to be transferred from any solar array to any attached device, especially under less than ideal temperature, weather, and sunlight conditions.
Virtual Technologies, Ltd. is a Spokane, Washington based global renewable energy, communications, remote control and monitoring company. Virtual Technologies, Ltd. is a privately owned corporation. Its web address is www.VirtualTechnologiesLtd.com.
